Hot-rolled aluminum discs are made by adding various alloy elements (main alloy elements are copper, silicon, magnesium, zinc, manganese, and secondary alloy elements are nickel, iron, titanium, chromium, lithium, etc.) during the processing of aluminum plates to improve the mechanical properties and chemical indicators of aluminum plates. Hot-rolled aluminum discs have some special properties that pure aluminum plates do not have, and are widely used in special environments, such as ships, refrigerators, molds, aerospace equipment, etc.
Three major categories of hot-rolled aluminum discs
1. Hot-rolled aluminum discs can be divided into 2××× series aluminum-copper hot-rolled aluminum discs (Al--Cu), 3××× series aluminum-manganese hot-rolled aluminum discs (Al--Mn), 4××× series aluminum-silicon hot-rolled aluminum discs (Al--Si), 5××× series aluminum-magnesium hot-rolled aluminum discs (Al--Mg), 6××× series aluminum-magnesium-silicon hot-rolled aluminum discs (AL--Mg--Si), and 7××× series aluminum-zinc hot-rolled aluminum discs [AL--Zn--Mg--(Cu)].
2. Hot-rolled aluminum discs can be divided into binary hot-rolled aluminum discs, ternary hot-rolled aluminum discs, quaternary hot-rolled aluminum discs and multi-element hot-rolled aluminum discs according to the main alloying elements.
3. Hot-rolled aluminum discs can be divided into heat-treatable hot-rolled aluminum discs and non-heat-treatable hot-rolled aluminum discs according to whether they can be strengthened by heat treatment. Hot-rolled aluminum discs cannot be strengthened. Only cold working can strengthen them, while heat treatment cannot significantly strengthen them.
